Sony ImageStation Begins Service Closure Process
Sony ImageStation : : As previously planned, November 12 is the date when Sony will stop accepting new photo and video uploads to their image hosting and sharing service. Their website is encouraging members to transfer their photos to Shutterfly, and gives complete instructions on how to complete the process.
I’m left to wonder how many other “free” photo sharing sites will join the ranks of ImageStation in the coming months and years. At some point, monetization has to happen. Bandwidth is not free. Someone has to pay the bill.
