FSM… agreed. There are some limitations that seem silly, given the bandwidth of 3G, but I have to believe those are being imposed by the Apple/AT&T contracts. So far my VOIP conversations have been very good. I’ve not personally experienced the delays you’re talking about.

fring is a good app, but it kinda bugs me that it only work with wifi, and i cant skype myself on a 3G connection. and i get delays while talking. sometimes they are acceptable, but there were a couple of times when i got huge delays and the whole convo went like 2 deaf people were talking

Reggie… I am also seeing a major battery drain if you leave it running in the background. Similar to drain from push.

One problem I am experiencing is that it is not updating my buddy list for the current status of those on Skype at this moment. Turned on my wife’s skype and no matter how many times I restart the app, she does not show up as available on Fring, but it there on Skype. Will look into it futher.
